Introduction

Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education (PAGE) is an umbrella organization working towards building an enabling environment for gender equity in education, employment, rights, and leadership.

PAGE acts as a platform for stakeholders, donors, policymakers and practitioners to come together and address the gender gap in education in Pakistan and devise solutions to overcome the broader socio-economic challenges faced by the girls.

Mission

PAGE aims to create a reality of gender equality, one where more women are entering the education system one where women are earning more qualifications one where women are participating equally in decision making and one where women are acquiring leadership roles by building more schools, training more teachers, and improving coordination among relevant departments, elected representatives, donors, civil society organizations and communities (including parents).

Vision

To transform the environment of girls’ education in Pakistan by bringing cultural and policy reforms through an ecosystem that can offer a world-class education system that adapts to ever-changing global skills needs, and builds respect, dignity and positive future perspectives for girls in Pakistan. We will be the catalysts for systematic innovations to help girls’ education meet the challenges of the 21st Century.

Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education- PAGE expresses its deep concern and outrage over the recent spate of attacks on girls' schools in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. These acts of violence, targeting institutions crucial for girls' education and empowerment, are not only criminal but also a blatant violation of the fundamental right to education enshrined in the Constitution of Pakistan.

Miss Fajer Rabia Pasha, Executive Director of PAGE Foundation, met with H.E. Cemal Sangu, Turkish Consul General, at the Turkish Consulate in Karachi. During the meeting, she presented a shield to H.E. Sangu as a token of appreciation for his support to PAGE.
