‘The Students of STAR School Meharpura are Insistent for Giving their Parents and Siblings a Better Lifestyle.‘

Residents of Meharpura, Lahore work extremely hard to make ends meet. Most of the males are daily wage laborers, they usually paint houses, work as tailors or sell vegetables. Some days they are lucky to get work but other times, they come back home disappointed. To support the husbands and provide meals for the children, the mothers work at people’s houses as housemaids.

STAR School Meharpura imparts education to 23 students in total, out of which 10 are girls while 17 are boys. Their teacher sees a contrasting behavior amongst the children. The children are dissatisfied at the fact that their parents have to work extremely hard to put meals on the table and on the contrary, they are passionate about their dreams. The children in their teenage especially girls want to use education to transform the way they live. They are insistent upon giving their parents and siblings a better lifestyle.

Saniya is one of the most hardworking and zealous students in STAR school Meharpura. Her mother is a housekeeper, and Saniya helps her as well. After that, she goes to STAR school Meharpura to get an education. Once she is done with school, she spends extra time with STAR school teacher Surraya to learn even more. The teacher is super proud of Saniya as she works throughout the day, puts in extra effort in academics, and even looks after her siblings.

Ali Ahmed is another sedulous STAR school student who works at a mineral water plant and supplies mineral water at houses. He is very eager to study and in his free time, goes to the teacher to learn more.

Students like Saniya and Ali Ahmed come to STAR schools to achieve their goals and fulfill their dreams.
