In a joyous ceremony held at IMSG G-7/2,  Islamabad, the Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education (PAGE) celebrated a momentous achievement—winning the UNESCO Prize for Girls' and Women's Education 2023. The event was attended by key dignitaries, including the honorable Minister for Education, Ali Madad Sindhi, Federal Secretary Mr. Waseem Ajmal, Representative UNESCO Ms. Cristina Menegazzi, Secretary General PNCU Ms. Razia Ramzan Dossa, PAGE partners, parents, and students.

Ms. Fajer Rabia Pasha, the Executive Director of Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education, and Mr. Abdul Rauf Baloch, Secretary of Education signs an MoU to promote girls' literacy in Balochistan through collaborative efforts. On this occasion, Mr. Sami Ullah, Additional Secretary of SED, Mr. Haider Khan from SED, and Ms. Shaista, Program Manager-PAGE, were also present.

Opening Ceremony of Non-formal Schools

According to the findings, approximately 52,000 children between the ages of five and sixteen are out of school in the Islamabad Capital Territory. To address this issue, the National Education Foundation, Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education, and Solidar Pakistan have come together to provide quality education to out-of-school children (OOSC). The first step in this collaborative effort was the establishment of two schools in I-9/4 and I-10/4 of ICT to enroll OOSC.
