On 9th of July, 2019 stationary was distributed among 125 students enrolled in Ishpitdas and Thingdas Star Schools which are remotely located in Gilgit Baltistan. The students were really excited after receiving new books, bags and stationary were given to encourage them to attend school and take continued interest in their schooling.
Being equipped with proper school tools is essential to academic success. However, many families in Pakistan can’t afford them as education for their children has taken a back seat due to greater family needs – One of the many reasons why the number of out of school children is high.
We at PAGE recognize that in order to succeed and be strong as a nation our children must be prepared to succeed in schools, especially girls. PAGE in partnership with Alight distributed school supplies such as books, pencils, ruler, eraser, and bags, etc. in their Star schools among students whose families are unable to afford the needed school supplies.
