Diamer Appeal for Girls Education

Diamer is a district in Gilgit – Baltistan where Girls Education has been suffering for decades. Continuous attacks on Girls schools and poverty has created a further barrier to Girls education in the area. According to Alif Ailaan, Diamer is ranked lowest in Pakistan with Female Literacy rate below 20%.

The recent attacks on 13 girls schools in Diamer have worsened the situation. There is an urgent need to revive girls education in the area. PAGE with support from the Government of Gilgit – Baltistan is making an urgent appeal. 3000 Girls need school uniforms and School bags.
