The launching ceremony of Enhancing Community’s Resilience through Youth Empowerment and Energy Conservation for Supporting STEM, NRM, and Rural Development in AJK took place on 22nd February 2022, with His Excellency Deewan Ali Khan Chughtai, Ministry for Elementary & Secondary Education, Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
Ms Fajer Rabia Pasha – Executive Director PAGE gave the welcome address and said that PAGE is delighted to collaborate with Islamic Development Bank as Co – Financing partner and are looking forward to positive outcomes especially for women and girls through skills Development, entrepreneurship, STEM while addressing environmental challenges Pakistan is facing. She thanked Islamic Development Bank and the Government of AJK for supporting this very important initiative.
Dr Zafar Iqbal Qadir – Taaleem Foundation Board of Directors, introduced the project and what impact the program can create in Pir Chanasi – Muzaffarabad.
During the ceremony, Mr Ashiq Ahmed Khan – Scientific Representative Ev-K2-CNR shared the NRM Perspective, Mohammad Akbar Country – Operation Manager IsDB shared the donor perspective and thanked PAGE for co financing the program. They added they will work closely with PAGE and Taleem to support the program.
Dr Tariq Cheema – Founding Trustee PAGE shared the Donor perspective and the value this unique partnership can create. He added that the girls can play an important role as Environment Champions. The ceremony was concluded with the word of thanks by Mr Asim Mushtaq, CEO Taaleem Foundation.
