On Thursday 10th November 2022 opening ceremony of Star School Badia Qadir Bakhsh was inaugurated by the honourable guests’ Ambassador of Türkiye H.E. Dr. Mehmet Paçacı and Madam Meryam Paçacı in the presence of Head of Delegation Turkish Red Crescent Mr Ibrahim Carlos, the Executive Director of PAGE Ms Fajer Rabia Pasha and other stakeholders’ representatives, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Mr. Irfan Nawaz Memon, representative of JICA, ICT Administration.
PAGE has set up 03 new schools in Islamabad supported by the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and funded by the Turkish Red Crescent under the “Education Support for Back to School project”. PAGE has enrolled 100 children who are engaged in begging and child labor, especially girls. The program serves the most disadvantaged children in Islamabad with daily healthy meals, mental health care, an Accelerated Learning Program with technical support by JICA, and a variety of exciting activities. The intervention is also supported by JICA and the ICT Administration.
The Ambassador of Turkiye H.E. Dr Mehmet Paçacı also commended the Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education (PAGE), the Turkish Red Crescent (TRC) and the Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training for joining hands for a noble cause.
