Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education hosted its 3rd Annual Gala in London on 7 March 2020, to raise funds to sustain and open more STAR Schools across the country.
The event was a huge success as it raised £106,000 with the support of its dedicated Trustees, Ambassadors, Volunteers, and PAGE Team-Pakistan to promote and increase access to girls’ education.
The night was solely dedicated to the young girls in Pakistan who would be the future of tomorrow. The event started with a brief introduction to the status of girls’ education in Pakistan, STAR School Success Stories, a poem read by the future leaders “Still I Rise” by Maya Angelou, some musical entertainment by Mr. Sohail Salamat followed by dinner.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Mohammad Ayub, Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Javed Khan, CEO-Barnados, Mr. Asif Rangoonwala, CEO-British Pakistani Foundation UK and may more overseas Pakistanis.
