Society for Education & Development (SED) is a non-governmental and non-political organization working in the Nankana Sahib and Sheikhupura District of Punjab Province. Organization was established in 2000 and formally registered in 2003 under society registration act 1860. In order to assist the slums of Nankana Sahib and Sheikhupura Districts organization is playing a leading role in rights of people rights, Eradication of poverty, economic empowerment, education, democracy and good governance, child protection and women rights.
According to the perception of Society for Education & Development (SED) illiteracy and lack of awareness and consciousness is major barrier on the way to development. To achieve the objectives of organization in line with priority sector, SED has adopted the strategic approach of sensitization, realization, conceptualization and mobilization.
SED has vast institutional experience, extensive grassroots linkages and community presence in Nankana and Sheikhupura Districts. SED possesses team of skilled professional and short term consultants to guide the various activities and deliverables with absolute satisfaction of the donors and local communities. SED has had privileged to work with various national and international organization on various development initiatives which were accomplished and were well recognized by donor and stakeholders.
