Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education, as part of its Advocacy campaign, organized an In-house lecture on “Education, Women and Islam-An overview on women’s right to education in Islam” by Mr. Khurram Elahi (Ph.D. Scholar) on March 12, 2020, in Islamabad to help the team advocate for girls education keeping their religious teachings in mind.

The lecture was organized to help understand the importance of education in Islam for both the genders as we are part of the society where socio-cultural norms play an important role in the lives of people.

The lecture included references from the Quran and Hadiths which will help the team to convince the communities on the ground to educate their young girls in the context of Islam.
